球桿規格被低估了/Golf club specification is important！~上集

大家在買球桿時，有多少人會在乎球桿的規格？規格包含長度、重量、角度、揮桿重量、硬度和MOI等。我觀察很多球友在購買球桿或訂製球桿時，比較在乎是品牌、款式、技術、材質這些因素。但對於桿子的規格幾乎忽視或省略。這點我覺得需要做修正和提升它的重要性。

我在幫球友訂製時，常常會覺得，其實他的球桿桿頭或桿身也不差，也適合他要求的彈道、硬度或易打等，但在球桿規格上就整個弱掉。弱掉的原因在，桿頭、桿身和握把都是不錯，但規格裝錯了，就無法發揮這些零組件的效能和提升球友發揮身體力量。

這個問題讓我覺得臉上掛三條線！這一來是球友本身會認為，把零組件找好就柳暗花明了，桿子就會幫我發揮我期待的結果。但其實不然。另一個原因也是技師的能力和專業不足。球友可以依靠技師的技術去設定適合他用的規格來打出效果。

但實際技師的能力多半不足，幾乎可以看到技師的組裝規格都大同小異。他把訂製桿當零售桿來做。也就是都是裝差不多的規格。長度、重量和揮桿重量都差不多。推薦的產品也都是那幾款的桿身或桿頭。最後裝也一樣的規格。

看了實在無言。技術水平真的是零！桿身、桿頭都有其特性和有配置的最佳化。同時也要看球友本身的身材和動作來做一個最好的規格設定。對我來說，規格設定是極為重要。規格設定對了，就算是一般的桿身和桿頭，一樣可以破表的發揮。

When you purchase the golf clubs do you look at the length, weight, loft, flex and swing weight? I have been working with golfers for clubfitting and clubmaking, they care about the brand, model, technology, and materials, but careless on the golf club specification. It's extremely important for golfers to have or build the right specification for your new clubs.

Without the right specification of your golf club, you are unable to make the best result and performance for your shots. Moreover, unmatched specification will make your body and swing hardly and effect your golf swing spontaneously. Even though your shaft and golf head are luxury, without the right specification to fit your swing it's impossible to deliver the right trajectory, distance and direction.

During the clubfitting, golfers focus on the which shaft, what golf head and grip I should use? They think clubfitting is all about selecting the right shaft, grip and head. It's not like that! The golf club can not automatically deliver your expectation without the right specification to fit your swing. That's why I think golfers need to take serious attitude for the golf club specification.

The main issue might be the clubfitter or clubmaker is lack of expertise to provide the right recommendation on new golf club's specification. I always see the clubfitter/clubmaker sets the same specification with most of the customers. People are different and with my experience, I have never set the same or similar specification for the golfers.

The clubfitter needs to look at golfer's physical strength, and analyze the golf swing then come out the right product recommendation and golf club specification to make the right fit. Most of clubfitters are unable to do the analysis on golfer's swing and physical body profile. Without that, it's unable to set up the right specification. That's why the specifications are highly similarity for all their customers.
