 學會控制自己的身體,比控制球桿重要/Building your body is key for golf swing!

在高爾夫裡,我一直在努力做一件事就是控制自己的身體。大家都會有感覺就是,揮桿動作很多時候你是用意識去做這些身體動作,但往往你無法控制身體的每一個部位,導致結果不好。有時狀況不錯,想做到像上一球打不錯的動作,就是做不到。這些狀況和問題都是在一個核心上:控制身體!

因為揮桿動作是一個快速且連續的執行狀態。就在1秒裡頭就完成。而這個動作之複雜,同時不是我們平時身體會做到的動作,導致我們需要練習來做出想要的動作與結果。所以對我來說,高爾夫就是一個極為高檔,針對控制身體的一個活動。控制身體聽起來簡單,但做起來完全是兩碼子事。

人的身體就是智慧,拿起球桿就會不自覺的去用自己習慣的節奏和打法去做。想去控制身體節奏可以慢一點,這樣一點小事,身體就是做不到。就像你習慣走路走快的人,意識要身體放慢走,但身體還是會不自覺會慢慢加快。這就是人的個性一樣,叫一個急性子的人,要慢工出細活是非常困難。

我自己常提醒自己要去控制身體,尤其在上下桿轉換時要讓下盤先啟動。但身體不時就會讓手先動,導致擊球無法一致性和不穩定。而後來瞭解,要去控制身體就需要去對身體進行訓練和鍛鍊。訓練是對身體的強度進行提升和強化。鍛鍊是要讓身體習慣去執行這些平時不常做的動作。這樣才能在執行揮桿動作時可以順利和輕鬆。

這也是我認為高爾夫需要去配合做身體的訓練和鍛鍊,以達到去控制身體的任務。不是一直去練動作就可以控制身體。當然這樣土法鍊鋼的方法也可以練動作,但曠日費時,效果不彰。所以在現代化的高爾夫裡,身體強化和身體韌性的提升是重要的一環。不是只有偏重在一個項目就可以成事。

I have been trying to do one simple thing in golf swing, to control my body during the whole swing. Controlling your body sounds easy and simple but it's extremely difficult in golf swing. Since the whole swing takes about 1 second to complete that is short and challenged for average golfers to operate correctly through your body.

Your ideology is different with your operation of the body. That's the problem! Why? Since the body is smart and it works the way it is able to achieve instead of doing your ideal way. The practical swing is different with your ideal swing. Your body is not trained and skilled with the golf swing, that's why your body is unable to make the ideal swing totation.

The whole golf swing is the body rotation through lower to upper bodies. It's not our daily body movements and the body is not working your ideal way. In order to make it work, you need to do the work out, to build your muscles and body flexibility then you are able to accomplish such difficult and complex golf swing.

The other difficulty is the personality! Some people are very aggressive without patient, such as walking and doing thing with fast tempo, then his swing is spontaneously fast tempo and fast speed. With that, your body needs to be very accurate to work on all the details of the swing in order to make the good results.

However, with my experience, the average golfers' problem is on your body. Your body is untrained and unstructured for golf swing. To build your golf swing, you have to build your body as the fundamental to work on the complex body rotations. It's not just focusing on your golf swing but for your body it needs to build the strongness and flexibility.

That's why I always suggest golfers to do the work out such as jogging, push up, and yoga. The body is so important to help you work on the golf swing. If you do not think training your body is critical, you are unable to build your swing with efficiency and productivity. That's why the modern golf swing is built on both body and swing!
