現在球星們開始去嘗試也是由於DeChambeau在今年開始的大爆發。從他的身體加重，再來他的打法，而現在還要去挑戰更長的木桿長度,去發揮開球距離的極大化目標。這樣距離可以從目前320碼到370碼。

因為他在前面有不錯的結果和成績，導致其他球員們也覺得這或許是一個好方法來提升距離。他可以做到，我應該也可以。但職業選手有專家在旁邊伺候，所以不只球桿，還有體能訓練師，更不用說還有動作的教練在協助指導。對他們來說，這樣的改變是可以克服和提升。

所以以前覺得長木桿是風險，到現在反而可以來嘗試和克服。因為球員們都是相互競爭和學習模仿。如果一個技術，方法可行的話，他們就會去解除封印來套用在自己身上。如果不去嘗試和創新，可能就無法更好和突破目前的狀況。這就是在最競爭的職業比賽裡的狀況。你不提升就等著被淘汰！

那超過46”的木桿真的會是風潮和可行嗎？我覺得對球員來說是可以。一來是球員的能力和身體素質都是高水平，所以對於操控長木桿來說是沒問題，只是在高強度的比賽下能否掌握好和心理素質上，這是比較重要。但對於要落實在一般市售木桿上，我個人覺得，基於廠商的行銷策略，這會落實，只是多數球友是無法可以操控自如。

我自己過去也試過46“的木桿，要打好真的很難。尤其動作不對或用手打球的打法，要擊球精準度就是天方夜譚。長木桿對身體和動作都是極度要求彼此平衡，才能有一個好的結果。一般球友沒有太多時間去鍛鍊身體和練動作，要做好控制長木桿是非常有難度。選手是打球賺錢，你沒必要這樣玩命。看看熱鬧就好了！

Now we are seeing more and more professional golfers trying to use long length driver due to Dechambeau impact. Since he adds the weight, his approach and now the over length driver, the pros are given the impact for what he has been doing with positive results. Now he uses over length driver can get the distance from 320 yards to 370 yards.

Such increment is impressive! With such distance, his second shot can be short iron or wedges. Compared with other PGA pros, they are short over 70~80 yards and that makes the second shot more difficult to play. As a result, we know why the distance is played so important rule in golf. The pros are able to make it work since they have swing coach, body work out trainer and clubfitter/clubmaker to help them build the body, swing and golf clubs.

You are the ordinary golfer, you do not have good swing, you are lack of body training and you do not have professional clubfitter/clubmaker to help you build the custom driver. It's extremely risky for you to play driver length over 46". We can see how pros play it well but if you want to try it, you might get hurt for such play.

I did try and built 46" driver in the past, it did not go well since the length is hard to handle and control. My body is not strong enough to handle the over length driver's loading. Of course, I have built the driver with my specification to play but still it's hard to play. I have had less than 50% of striking accuracy. I do not think 46" driver can become the trend, since it requires lots of factors and requirements on the swing and golf clubs.
