推桿不是你想的那樣簡單!~上集

這幾年的推桿都有越來越重的趨勢。以前的推桿桿頭重量在330g+-10g左右範圍。但現在都到350g+-10g的重量。同時桿身的重量也都在110~130g範圍。握把如果選superstroke的話,重量在60g以內。當然它們有推出counter balance的重量塊,握把重量就比較重。

握把重就是利用桿子兩端有一定重量,讓桿子的平衡性比較好。一來手握的感覺會有整支桿子的重量感。可以利用手的力量來控制。

所以有些握把的重量會做到100g以上。其目的就在讓球桿的兩端更平衡。不過,你把桿頭,桿身和握把的重量加一加,總重就很容易550g。

這就是你球袋裡最重的一支桿。重推桿的好處在於,可以制約你的手臂力量。目前這類重推桿的重點就在需要和你的手臂力量達成一致。

因為推桿的上下桿幅度不大,尤其要推中短距離時,需要精準控制力量。所以桿子讓手臂感到重量感,力量就不會忽大忽小,不容易去控制手臂力量和球桿。

很多人都知道推桿要用鐘擺方式來推。但問題是市面上的推桿規格,長度和重量都不適合下。要用肩膀的擺動去推桿是做不到。我在4年前才領悟到;如何去利用身體鐘擺來推桿。現在推起來才比較有自信。

這種推法就是集中在人的身體控制上,球桿是配合身體的工具,不是制約或需要負擔使用的產品。我以前對推桿也是像目前推桿設定方式;走重量化!就是讓桿子整體和桿頭、桿身、握把重量都偏重。

這樣使用者可以很容易去感受和控制桿子。但這有個問題;一開始推,體力滿格沒問題。但力量下滑就怎麼推就是進不了。推桿需要掌握精細度,所以一個小失誤或小問題都會影響結果。

這就是這類推桿的核心問題;費力!推桿主要都在你的雙手去掌握控制球桿和力道。但如果刻意利用特定部位就容易產生疲勞和精神力不集中。因為下場是打18洞的競賽。起碼花3個多鐘頭。不是說沒力推,就是無法推的準。尤其是中短距離更是氣人。

如果你真要用肩膀鐘擺來推桿。你的桿子就必須要讓手臂放鬆。握桿不用力。只是握住。這樣才能利用到肩膀去擺動。所以桿子和手臂其實都是越輕越放鬆越好。只有利用到桿頭和肩膀的力量去推擊。

這樣的推桿設定就和現在重推桿完全相反。反其道而行!而我個人使用一年的經驗是簡單,沒有體力和集中力不足問題。而且推到桿面甜蜜點的比例在8成以上。非常容易控制!在中短距離的精準度也是8成比例。

The putter weight is getting heavy in recent years. 10 years' ago, the putter head weight is 330g+-10g range. Now the head weight is up to 350g+- 10g. Most of putter shaft weights from 110g~130g and plus grip, the total weight of the putter is 550g.

For such weight, it's the heaviest golf club in your bag. The advantage of heavy putter is to allow you control the putter with your arms. Your gripping is able to put solid and control the putter head's movement. It's good to put mid and long distance, but it's hard to control the short distance.

The issue of heavy putter is given your arms too much loading and hard to control the details of putting. That's why if you put short distance, any small mistake will make the bad result without concentration. The problem with heavy putter is when you play to back 9, you will be hard to stay focus during the putting.

Of course, if you are strong, there is no such issue. But if you are weekend golfers, this will be the problem for your putting without consistency. That's why I switch to old style of light putter weight.

It is pendulum putting which is using your shoulder to swing, but the arms need to be relax unlike heavy putter to focus on arms control and power. Arms just grip the putter and the putter needs to be as light as possible. This way the shoulder is able to swing as easy as possible. A number of PGA pros are using such putter skill to perform the best.

If the putter is heavy, your shoulder is unable to start. Therefore, the putter weight is critical for this putting. The setting and specification are total different with heavy putter. I have been using this putting method for over 1 year, the result is great! I can put on the sweet spot of the putter face for over 80% of putting times and for mid and short distance, I can put to the hole about 80%.

Even though it's over 4 hours of golfing, I still can put well without low energy of losing concentration. I have spent 4 years to try various putter specification and combination for over 10 putters. As a result, I come out the series of lighter putter formula. To use pendulum putting, the putter needs to work perfectly with your body. Otherwise, the consequence will not be as good as your expect and your shoulder is hard to swing.
