現在球桿最容易的亮點就是訴求：”距離“！不管木桿類，還是鐵桿都一樣，一說到距離就矇閉所有人的需求重點。對多數球友，在動作不正確的狀況下，球具也沒有個人化也不具備，要得到最佳距離就很難達到。所有每年都有對產品訴求距離更遠。

鐵桿來說，我認為每個球友都需要去建立自己在每一支球桿的距離訴求。不見得要每一支鐵桿都差10碼距離，或是距離要固定。對我來說，距離越遠的桿子可以有多一點的距離差。比如我的七鐵160碼，但我八鐵只有140碼（因為是鋼管桿身和七鐵不同設定），少掉20碼距離，但對我使用一點都沒有產生問題。

這裡的重點在於，距離越遠的桿子和下一支球桿的距離差可以不需要一樣10碼。對我來說，鐵桿要打準，你能否把球送到你要的距離和方向比距離還重要。反而在距離不遠的100碼內需要更加精準的距離操控。

其實對大家來說，如果要打200碼的距離，你不會非常要求要打的多準，你會設定一個落點範圍。但如果你打100碼距離你會更要求球要落在特定位置上。簡單來說，就是越短的距離你會要求特定位置。所以在這樣的框架下，你在打中鐵就可以把距離範圍放大。

所以在中鐵距離放大下，你可以不需要要求每一支中鐵的距離差需要太接近。可以像我有15碼或以上的距離差。因為這樣在使用和練習上可以很輕鬆和明確。因為我有時候和其他朋友打球，會看到他們對於選用哪一隻球桿而煩惱。但其實業餘球友不需要如此困難。

Nowadays golf club's most important characteristic is the distance! Longer distance will drive golfers purchasing incentive and it's critical feature of the golf clubs including irons and woods. However, let's be realistic, if your swing is not correct, your clubs are not customized or personalized? how can you gain the better distance? That's marketing language and do not be fooling around.

With irons, you need to build your own iron distance for each iron. It is not necessary to have 10 yards distance gap for each iron. For me, longer distance iron is able to have more distance gap. But short irons for targeting 100 yards range can be different. Since shorter distance is required accuracy to make it on the green. 

The key of the mid and long iron distance target is based on accuracy instead of longer distance. Can you deliver the ball to the right target? That's the whole thing for the iron play. For example, my 7i is 155~160 yard, but my 8i is 140 yard. Since my 8i is steel shaft and a little shorter length setup for better control and striking accuracy. That's 20 yards different but I have no problem to make my iron selection on the course. 

The average golfer is always struggling for selecting the right iron to make the shot. To me it's important to make the shot easier and simpler. For mid and long irons it can be bigger distance gap, this way I have no hesitation to pick the right iron to play the best shot. The key is to make the right performance of the iron instead of caring 5 or 10 yards hesitation. That's what I have seen with playing other golfers on the course. 

You do not need to be the same as other golfers in iron distance. You only need to care of how you can make the best shot for your irons? You do not need to carry all the irons to play particularly with long and mid irons. You do not have time to practice every iron you have, as a result, select the limited mid and long irons to practice as much as you can. You will have the best result of iron shot on the course.
